We Need Pink

After some long cold months of gray, black and tan, Sherwin Williams’ color of the month is… EXUBERANT PINK. Not pastel pink or desaturated pink, and definitely not mauve. Exuberant Pink is ready to party.
I know the one-two punch of Derby Day and The Royal Wedding has feminine frills (and fascinators) front and center. Pink is more approachable than you think though, especially when paired with navy and grays. Try a pop of pink on a feature wall (or ceiling), in a printed rug, or with a throw pillow.
In color psychology, pink is said to have a calming effect and is associated with kindness and joy.
You have 10 more days of May to go pink in the name of “paint trends”.
Pink not your thing? Pantone’s 2018 color of the year is, drumroll please… Ultra Violet.
