While searching for the perfect home, I’m continually reminding my clients that updates are possible! It can seem daunting to imagine your new home filled with tools and contractors, but I speak from experience when I say that having the ability to choose exactly what you want when it comes to materials, fixtures, and layout is worth every penny (and every dusty day). Whether you have the luxury of finishing updates before you move in or not, finding the right builder is the key to a smooth remodel.

In Montgomery and Bucks counties, Harth Builders is an excellent choice. My friend Greg Harth took over the family homebuilding business and has earned the Regional Contractor of the Year Award (from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry) 10 times. I can personally attest to the quality and craftsmanship. He takes a ‘design-build’ approach, which streamlines the remodeling process, so that the homeowner isn’t stuck playing middleman with architects, contractors, and interior designers. (Here’s a short video by Harth Builders explaining Design-Build).

In Philadelphia, Red Oak Development has gained quite the following for consistently unique properties with no cut corners. Known for their bathrooms and kitchens, Red Oak even fabricates custom vanities, islands, and doors. Bonus: they're fun to work with.

If you're looking for builders in South Jersey, give me a ring. I've worked with quite a few and may recommend someone different based on the type of project!

If you’re on the fence about searching for a new home, remember that making it your own through remodeling is a more approachable option than you might think. I’m always here to help you calculate costs and share pinterest boards!
